pointer: WSJ of Nov 1 article: Online with Penn & Teller
the Wall Street Journal of Nov 1, page A12 has a column by Michael Miller
titled:
Comedy Bulletin Board: On Line with Penn & Teller
which is mildly humorous but also retells a war-story of Bell Labs' own
Rob Pike and Dennis Ritchie, a trick played on Arno Penzias, Bell Labs'
Nobel-laureate VP of research ...
the article claims: "never before publicly described" which I take to mean
that most of you haven't heard of it either;
the column gives the BBS number as (212)764-3834, 8-1-N, hit Enter twice,
password MOFO ... good luck not getting a busy signal the next couple of
weeks .... :-)
(nope, I don't have a scanner or a secretary to type in the war story ...)

NOSE to the grindstone,
TONGUE in the cheek,
HEART on the sleeve,
FEET on the ground kind of guy.....
